Data Deletion Request
At TheHyWing, we respect your privacy and give you full control over your personal data. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.
How to Request Data Deletion
Option 1: Through the App
- Open TheHyWing mobile app
- Go to Settings → Account
- Tap "Delete My Account"
- Confirm your request
Option 2: Via WhatsApp
Send a message to our WhatsApp bot at
+234 816 208 8344
with the text: DELETE MY DATA
Option 3: Email Request
Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include:
- Your registered email address
- Your phone number (if registered via WhatsApp)
- Reason for deletion (optional)
What Data We Delete
Upon your request, we will permanently delete:
- Your account profile and login credentials
- Hydration logs and goals
- Symptom triage history
- Consultation records (after legal retention period)
- Alert history and preferences
- WhatsApp conversation data stored on our servers
- Device tokens and notification preferences
Processing Time
Data deletion requests are processed within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email once your data has been deleted.
Data Retention Exceptions
Some data may be retained for legal or regulatory compliance purposes, including:
- Payment transaction records (7 years for tax purposes)
- Medical consultation records (as required by applicable health regulations in your jurisdiction)
- Data required for ongoing legal proceedings
